Closed Suction Catheter

The Closed Suction Catheter is intended to deliver safe, effective, and continuous secretions removal of the airways to the mechanically ventilated patients. Its closed system design permits the suctioning to be done without interrupting the patient attached to the ventilator and in this way it is possible to maintain the positive end-expiratory pressure (PEEP) and constant oxygen levels during the procedure. This design will be of great importance in minimizing the risk of hypoxia and hemodynamic instability during suctioning.
